Adopted Like A Boss Fan Chapter!

After a long day, we look to our beds for comfort.

To sleep away the bad things that have happened.

Sometimes the bad things follow us into our dreams.

Sometimes…

The bad things are torturing you.

I wasn’t prepared at all for what was going to happen to me tonight. I was too busy thinking about another long day at school tomorrow, staring up at my white ceiling. I shifted over to my side, hoping I’d be able to get enough sleep.

Little did I realize I was going to have a nightmare.

Or rather…


I was going to live through someone else’s.

Opening my dream eyes, I was in a hospital of some kind. “W-Whoa…” I knew I had nightmares before, but NONE of them had ever happened in THIS kind of place. Then when I heard someone sobbing. “Hello? Anybody here?” I said, starting to look around, wandering down hallways. “ANTI! JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!” I almost fell on my butt at how loud that shout was. It sounded female. A-Anti..? “Listen to me! I’m not… Anti, or whoever that is! I just want to know where are you are so I can help!” She said to follow her voice, and after wandering around for a bit, I found a patient's room, unlabeled. Opening the door, I saw… “Oh my god…” A girl was strapped to a hospital bed, she had cuts on her body, multiple spots were bleeding. I quickly rushed over and started loosening her binds. “What on earth happened to you?” “It’s… a long story.” She said, sobbing still. I had just helped her up, when I heard a demonic sounding voice say, “Well, looks like someone’s here to be the big hero.” The girl held me tightly, and I said, “W-What are you talking about? Who are you?” That’s when he walked into the room with us. That’s also when it hit me.

Antisepticeye.

I… didn’t realize he was real. He looked like should, his neck bleeding because of the cut on his throat, the completely pitch black eyes, and the demonic demeanour.  “Well lookie here! Looks like Jo has a friend! Well, you know what they say, ‘the more, the merrier!’”

Suddenly, knives surrounded him as he levitated off the ground. Jo was horrified, starting screaming at Anti, yelling, “Please! Don't hurt us! I don't even know him!” I grabbed her arm and whispered, “Run.” I sprinted towards the door, shoving Anti away, running down hallways  with Jo in tow.  I could hear him chase after us, yelling in his sinister voice, “̵Leaving the party so soon? But we’ve only just begun!” We turned corner after corner, now Anti was throwing the knives at us. We dodged out of the way of them, but suddenly we ran smack dab into someone else.

Darkiplier.

There he was, in his suit and everything. The dark shadows under his eyes, and he seemed to have a evil glow around him.

“Hello children. Who are you running from?” I straightened up a little bit, saying, “None of your business, Dark.” He smiled devilishly. “Wrong choice of words, kid.” Dark suddenly began to shrink… N-No, I was beginning to float into the air! Jo was grabbed my ankle, trying to keep me from flying off. But I was thrown into a wall, collapsing onto the floor, barely being able to breathe. “No! Dark! Leave him alone! It’s me you want!” I looked up, seeing that Anti had finally caught up with us. "Aw look… looks like Jo here wants to protect her friend… how about we start with him first?"

“Leave him alone!” Jo shouted, but I was lifted up into the air again and was face to face with Anti. I struggled and tried everything I could to escape, but it seemed like my body was frozen, unable to move. "̵The more you struggle… the more this will hurt..."  I screamed and started yelling out, “This can't be real!”

"̴Oh it’s real… as in it’s really going to hurt.”

One of the knives started floating towards my neck. I strained trying to move away from it. I heard a slice…

And then suddenly woke up in a room, gasping for breath. I put my hand up to my neck, but surprisingly didn’t feel anything. The room was dimly lit, but when I looked over to my right I could make out what looked like two girls sleeping in separate beds. “W-What the hell?!” I whispered. Suddenly, the one on the left started shifting and started to yell out for help. I darted my eyes around for a hiding spot after hearing footsteps rush to the room. I couldn’t find one in time, and someone burst through the door, flicking the lights on.

It was Jack. Jacksepticeye.

“Joanne! Are you okay?” He realized he wasn’t the only one in the room, so he looked over, and we locked eyes.

“H-Hey… how are you doing?” I said nervously.

He marched over to me, and I panicked and said, “W-Whoa, hold on! I promise I didn’t do anything! I don’t even know how I got here!”

The girl on the left bed, Joanne, suddenly sprung up and said, “That’s the kid I saw!”

Jack hesitated for a moment, stopping in his tracks. He turned to her and said, “You know him?”

“N-No… but he tried to save me from Anti and Dark.”

Jack stood there for a second, almost looking dazed. The other girl had woken up and had noticed me. Before she could say anything, more loud and panicked footsteps came running into the room after Jack.

It was Markiplier and Pewdiepie.

“Jack! What happened?”

They both saw me, and I waved kinda awkwardly. I’d always wanted to meet these guys, but… not exactly like this.

“Who’s he?” asked Mark.

“I have no idea… but he actually protected Joanne.” Jack said, turning to them. Mark went over to check on the other girl who was called Callie. Joanne suddenly got out of her bed and hugged me. I froze and blushed a little. She eventually let go and said, “Thanks for defending me.”

“H-Hey, no problem.”

“So… how did you get here?” She asked.

“That’s what I’M trying to figure out...”

“Really?”

“Yeah… I just woke up wherever this is all of a sudden. I have no idea how I got here.”

Jack and Felix stopped their conversation after hearing that. “You what?” Mark said, confused. “I swear, I just woke up here. I don’t remember being carried or anything…” I said, shrugging.

Mark turned to Jack and Felix and said, “Well, Callie’s alright…”

Jack sighed and said, “Well… looks like he’s gonna be stuck with us for a bit…”

I looked over to Jack, a little shocked. “So you’re saying…”

Jack smiled a little and said, “Yep. You’re gonna be a member of our crew for now.”

I smiled and said, “As long as I’m not cabin boy or anything like that.”

Jack and Joanne laughed a little, sounding quite nice together.

“Well… if that’s everything…” Mark said, walking over to the door.

“Yeah… we should get back to bed.” Felix said, yawning a little.

But opening the door, we had two more uninvited guests.



Anti and Dark.


Mark stumbled back a little at seeing them, and Anti said, “Aww… look at all of you gathered together.”

I quickly got in a fighting pose, and stood in front of Joanne. “W-What are you doing?!”

“Protecting you. I’m not letting anything happen to you.”

“What the hell do you two want!?” Jack shouted, looking about ready to knock one of their lights out.

“Only to play of course… Who wants to go first?” Anti said, making eye contact with me.

“How about you? We had such a good time earlier… let’s continue on that.” Anti floated over to me, standing about a foot away from me.

“Leave me and Jo alone.” I said, keeping my ground, still ready to attack.

“I could… but where would be the fun in that?” Anti said, tilting his head ominously.

“Shut it!” I shouted, punching him across the face.

Anti staggered, one of his hands reaching up to hold onto the side I hit.

“You little punk… you’ve got a lot of guts kid… We’ll be back for you two.” Anti said, giving me a death glare, before him and Dark vanished.

Jack and the gang looked to me, shocked expressions on their faces.

“He deserved it… You okay?” I said, turning back to face Joanne.

“T-That… was AWESOME!” Joanne squealed, bouncing up and down a little.

“Yeah… you got to admit… that was a pretty badass move you pulled there.” Mark said, sounding a smidge impressed.

“T-Thanks…” I said, blushing a bit.

Jack motioned me over, asking me to follow him. Jack closed the door behind us, and said, “Listen… I don’t know who you are… but protecting Jo like that… You have my eternal thanks.”

“Name’s Alex… and you’re welcome… I guess.” I said, awkwardly bowing a little.

“Alex, huh? Nice name…”

“Thanks.”

Joanne opened the door and said, “There’s a sleeping bag in the closet in here… he could sleep with us.”

“Would you want to?”

“S-Sure…” I said, walking into the room after Joanne.

Taking off my glasses, I placed them on a nightstand close to me, and slid into the bag a little more.

“You all nice and comfortable?” Jack asked.

“Yep!” Joanne said, smiling at Jack.

“Well… good night you three.” Jack said, turning off the light.

“Jo…” Jack stopped before closing the door all the way.

“I know dad… call you if it happens again.”

“That’s my girl.” Jack said, closing the door behind him.

I shifted onto my side, trying my best to fall asleep again.

“Hey… uh…”

“It’s Alex.”

“Alex, okay… I just wanted to say…


Thanks.”


I smiled a little and said, “You’re welcome.”
